Heights, water, and chemicals are serious. We train to OSHA-aligned safety standards and we spend real money on the gear that keeps our crew and your property safe.
Anchors and rigging by roof type
Ridge anchors, standing-seam clamps, and ground anchors for homes without built-in points, each with a verified backup anchor.
Harnesses, checked every time
The right harness for the job, a set donning sequence, and buckle and D-ring checks before anyone leaves the ground.
Gear inspected and retired
Equipment is inspected before use, and anything involved in a fall is retired on the spot, no exceptions.
Chemical safety program
PPE and daily fit checks, eyewash and first aid on every truck, wind-aware application, and a clear plan if anyone is exposed.
Inside our training
Your roof is not where we learn.
We built our own training roof. It sits in our shop, it is shingled like the real thing, and the pitch adjusts from an easy walking slope to a steep one. Crews run ladder work, rope and anchor setup, and soft-wash technique on it at every angle, with a lead watching, so the first steep roof a technician walks is ours and not yours.

Every technician earns their certification, skill by skill.
Nobody works unsupervised on your home on day one. Classroom learning and field work are paired together, and our crew advances through 369 individual skills across 10 service and safety categories. Each level is earned by demonstrating the skill, not by clocking time.

Initial Training
First-touch instruction and demonstration. The technician understands the skill but has not yet been graded on doing it independently.

Beginner
Has performed the skill on easy work and can be left alone on low-difficulty applications. Harder cases still get oversight.

Intermediate
Handles more difficult work at higher quality, without direct supervision on moderate complexity.
- 4
Proficient
Reliable across the typical range of work. Quality, speed, and judgment hold up on most jobs at most difficulties.

Expert
Can be sent to any job. Speed, efficiency, judgment, and quality are all extremely high.

Trainer
Earned separately, by being watched teaching a skill to another technician well enough that they actually learn it.
Technicians earn their roof sign-off on our mock roof first, so nobody learns on a customer's home.

Why this matters

High pressure strips the protective granules off shingles and forces water behind siding. The repair costs far more than the cleaning ever did.
Voided manufacturer warranties
Pressure washing a roof can void the shingle manufacturer's warranty. Soft washing is the method roofing manufacturers actually recommend.

Insurers check roofs from the street and the air. A moss-covered or damaged roof can raise your premium, or get your policy dropped.

We pre-soak and shield plants, mask doors, cover outlets, bag downspouts, and choose the gentlest method that still does the job.
Verify
We neutralize sensitive areas, rinse thoroughly with fresh water, and leave your property the way we found it, only cleaner.

- Are your technicians insured and background-checked?
- Yes. Every WindowWorks technician is a W2 employee who is fully insured and background-checked. You never have to wonder who is on your property.
- Do you follow OSHA safety standards?
- We train our crews to OSHA-aligned safety standards using written checklists for rope, harness, and roof safety and for bleach exposure. They cover anchors and rigging, harness fit, equipment inspection, PPE, and emergency response, and the training is refreshed regularly.
- How are your technicians trained?
- Every technician works through a Field Skills program of 369 individual skills across 10 service and safety categories, signed off by an evaluator at six levels from Initial Training to Trainer. They also practice at our own training facility, including an adjustable mock roof, before working on customer homes.
- What makes your cleaning safe for my roof?
- We soft wash instead of using high pressure, and our crews are trained on the right cleaners and dilution for each surface. That cleans thoroughly without stripping the protective granules off your shingles.
