Window Cleaning

Let the light back in

Purified water or hand cleaning, whichever is safest for each window. Screens included in every package; pick your finish, from glass only to tracks, frames, and sills.

Not sure what those spots on the glass are? The guide names them and tells you which ones come off.

What we cover

Every piece of glass we clean.

If it is glass on your property, it is on the list. We will tell you the one thing we turn down.

  • Single and double hung windows
  • Casement, slider, and picture windows
  • French doors and sliding glass doors
  • Skylights, inside and out
  • Deck and balcony glass railings
  • Interior mirrors, glass doors, and partitions
  • Storefront and commercial glass
  • Solarium, sunroom, and greenhouse glass
  • Garage door glass and transoms
  • Tinted, coated, and Low-E glass

The one exception is old storm windows. The frames and clips on them are brittle enough that taking them down risks breaking something that is no longer easy to replace, so we leave those alone and clean everything else.

Seeing paint or sticker residue on the glass?

Or did you recently have construction? Paint, silicone, and adhesive bond to the glass. That is construction window cleaning, its own service, quoted by condition.

Construction Window Cleaning

Before and after

The difference, on real jobs.

  • Before and after WindowWorks clearing sap and mineral runs from a picture window on the Eastside
Sap and mineral runs off the glass, and the frame left alone.
  • Before and after WindowWorks cleaning a grimy skylight back to clear glass on the Eastside
A skylight nobody had reached in years, back to clear.

Why it matters

The problem this solves.

Glass film builds so slowly you stop noticing the light you've lost, until one clean window makes the rest look foggy. Worse, minerals left through enough wet seasons can bond to the glass and etch it permanently.

How we do it

Our approach.

Every window gets the safest method: a purified water-fed pole outside, or hand squeegee work where it wins. Purified water has virtually no minerals, so glass air-dries spot-free, and the pole reaches upper stories from the ground. We tell you what cleaning can't fix, failed seals and etched glass, before you pay.

  • Exterior only, interior only, or both
  • Safest method chosen per window
  • Floors and sills protected inside
  • Straight answers on what cleaning can't fix

How we clean it

Purified water, or a squeegee in hand.

Two methods, and the window decides which one it gets. Neither is the cheap version.

How it driesAir dries with nothing left behindSqueegeed and detailed by hand

What it leavesNo minerals, so no spots and no marksNo residue, because we do not use grocery-store cleaner

Two visits a year.

Spring, inside and out, gets the light back for summer. Fall, outside at minimum, clears the mineral and dust load before winter rain bonds it to the glass. If you only do one, make it spring. On a plan we track the timing and you save across the year.

Add-ons

Add it while we're there.

The crew and equipment are already on site, so these attach to your visit.

  • A WindowWorks technician washing a window screen off the frame with a hose gun on an Eastside Seattle property

    Deep Screen Cleaning

Screens come off for a detergent wash and rinse, frames cleared of algae. The fix for dust-loaded or greening mesh.

  • A WindowWorks technician building a replacement window screen, rolling new mesh into an aluminum frame

    Screen Building and Rescreening

New screens built to match, or damaged frames rescreened, so the whole set matches instead of one obviously new replacement.

  • A window half treated for hard water: the cleared half shows the view through, the untreated half still hazed with bonded mineral

Hard Water and Mineral Stain Removal

Specialty treatment for minerals bonded to glass, usually irrigation overspray. We test a spot first and flag etching, which is permanent.

  • Before and after WindowWorks stripping oxidation from a bronze window mullion on the Eastside

    Frame Oxidation Removal

Chalky, streaking aluminum or bronze frames stripped of oxidation and brought back to an even finish. Test section first, and a straight answer if the frame is too far gone.

  • A steam wand clearing packed grime from the track of a sliding glass door on an Eastside Seattle job

    Window Track Deep Cleaning

For tracks packed beyond Premium, with specialty tooling and glass panels removed. Flagged at the estimate, never a service-day surprise.

  • A WindowWorks technician roped off on the shingle roof of a log home, squeegeeing a large skylight

    Skylights

Skylights cleaned inside, outside, or both. Standard cleaning won't remove tree sap, and we confirm access before scheduling interior work.

  • A run of glass deck railing panels cleaned by WindowWorks, overlooking a lake and dock on the Eastside

    Deck Glass

Deck and balcony glass panels cleaned both sides where accessible, so the view past the railing matches the windows.

  • Interior French doors with divided glass panes and a frosted transom in an Eastside Seattle home

    Interior Glass and Mirrors

Mirrors, glass doors, and partitions cleaned in the same interior pass, so every piece of glass matches.

  • Dusting a high ceiling and beams with extension tooling

    High Interior Dusting

Beams, high ledges, light fixtures, and vaulted corners dusted with extension tooling. Book with an interior visit, skip the ladder rental.

  • Clearing cobwebs from a high exterior eave with extension tooling

    High Exterior Cobweb Removal

Webbing cleared from high eaves, soffits, corners, and covered entries, the spots that make a clean house read neglected.

  • An extension bulb changer used to reach high fixtures

    Lightbulb Replacement

Hard-to-reach bulbs swapped with our extension equipment; you supply the bulbs unless we quote them. Mention it when you book.

Why WindowWorks

Who shows up matters.

If we are working inside your home, background-checked is not a nice-to-have. It is the baseline.

Anyone can rent a pressure washer. After 20+ years on Eastside exteriors, and a 4.9 rating across 300+ reviews, we can tell you the real difference is the person holding the wand: what they know, how they were trained, and whether the company behind them takes care of them. We take care of our techs, so they take care of your property.

A WindowWorks technician training on the mock roof at our facility
  • Background-checked

Every technician is background-checked before they ever step onto a customer's property.

  • Certified, skill by skill

Our crews earn certification across 369 individual skills in 10 categories, each one signed off by an evaluator, never just by clocking time.

  • Paid like professionals

A living wage, healthcare, and dental. People who are treated well do careful work, and they stay, so you see the same faces.

  • Licensed, bonded, and insured

With OSHA-aligned safety training for the at-height work. If someone is on your roof, they are trained and covered for exactly that.

  • Method matched to the surface

Soft wash where pressure would damage, hot water where cold cannot lift, the right chemistry for the stain. The method follows the surface, not the other way around.

  • Documented before and after

Every job is photographed before and after, so you can see exactly what changed and keep it on file.

Common questions

Good to know.

Why is exterior-only one price?

Outside only, Basic and Deluxe are the same physical service at the same price; they only separate when interior work is included. Premium stays its own quoted option either way.

Do you clean window screens?

Every package includes a screen dust-off and wipedown. Screens loaded with dust or turning green need the deep screen cleaning add-on instead.

Why shouldn't I wipe the windows afterward?

Purified water dries spot-free on its own; wiping while it dries is what adds lint and streaks. If anything looks off once fully dry, call us and we'll make it right.

Can you fix foggy windows or hard water stains?

Fog between panes is a failed seal, a window repair, not a cleaning, and we'd rather tell you than charge you. Bonded minerals get a specialty treatment: we test a spot first, a signed waiver may be required, and etched glass may not fully recover.

Is post-construction glass a normal window cleaning?

No. Paint, silicone, adhesive, and stucco bond to the glass; that's construction window cleaning, a separate service quoted by condition, with a signed scratch waiver required before work begins.
